Guys, having combination oily skin is honestly such a confusing struggle. Some parts of my face get shiny and greasy in just a couple hours, while other random areas feel dry and tight out of nowhere. It’s super hard to cater to such unpredictable skin.

That’s why I’m extremely picky when it comes to serums. Heavy formulas clog my pores and trigger oiliness, while overly potent ones irritate my sensitive areas. I’ve been testing out three popular serums lately, and I’m sharing my honest, unfiltered real-life experience with each of them.

Hanasui Peeling Serum

Rating: 4.3/5 This serum is basically a quick skin reset for rough, congested complexions. It has a lightweight, watery texture that never feels heavy or greasy on oily skin areas.

After using it a few times, I noticed a clear difference in my skin texture. Those tiny bumps, rough patches, and uneven skin around my nose and forehead gradually smoothed out. That said, it’s not a daily staple for me. If my skin barrier is already sensitive and overworked, frequent use can leave my face feeling a little tight and stripped. It’s best used as an occasional refining treatment rather than everyday care.

The Originote Gluta Bright B3 Serum

Rating: 4.6/5 This brightening serum totally exceeded my expectations. It has a perfect user-friendly texture — light, super spreadable, and fast-absorbing, with zero greasy or sticky residue left on the skin.

My skin always rejects thick, heavy brightening products, especially in humid weather, but this one sits perfectly on my skin all day long. With consistent use, my skin tone looks way fresher, more even, and naturally luminous. It doesn’t deliver that fake, flashy whiteness; instead, it builds a healthy, clean glow from within, making it my most balanced daily serum of the three.

Glad2Glow Pomegranate Serum

Rating: 4.1/5 Out of the three, this one is the most hydration-focused serum. It has a slightly richer texture, but it still absorbs pretty well without turning sticky or cloying on the skin.

It’s my go-to pick for tired, dehydrated skin caused by long hours in air-conditioned rooms or lack of sleep. It instantly revives dull complexions and restores a healthy, dewy skin state. The only downside for combo oily skin is the dosage. On super oily days, using too much of this serum speeds up T-zone shine. So you definitely need to control the amount to avoid excess greasiness.

All three serums serve totally different purposes and fit different skin conditions. I turn to Hanasui Peeling Serum whenever I’m dealing with rough texture and clogged pores. The Originote Gluta B3 Serum is perfect for daily maintenance, evening out skin tone naturally. And the Glad2Glow Pomegranate Serum rescues tired, dehydrated skin and brings back a healthy hydration glow.
